A brilliant two days of grading over this weekend which saw our lower grades and higher grades grade for their new ranks. The grading for higher grades took place on the Saturday following TKFs normal classes and the lower grade Grading followed on the Sunday morning.

A big well done goes to everyone who graded and successfully passed their new belts. There was a good standard across the board over the two days of gradings. Some great results especially from some of our younger students who haven’t had much experience of grading managing to overcome nerves and pull it out of the bag in front of the panel of TKF instructors.

There was a large group of brown and white belts who were attempting to grade for their brown and double white belt. We are pleased to announce they all passed which, as everyone knows, means that they have completed their final TKF grading, because once you have reached Brown and Double White you’re next grading will take place in front of JKS instructors when grading for 1st Dan. A big well done to all the TKF graders.

1st Dan success for Sophie Thompson

We are very proud to announce that TKF now has a new 1st Dan Black belts in our ranks! A big well done goes to Sophie Thompson who managed to successfully pass her black belt on Sunday 14th October. She graded after several months of hard training. Sophie graded following a JKS Course which was held in Nottingham and consisted of several JKS Instructors including Alan Campbell and Steve Carless who were both on the grading panel as well. This tops off a successful weekend of gradings!
