On Sunday 10th June, JKS England Squad representatives Henry Pegge, Cody Gedge, Cameron Panday, Rohan Panday and James Leveridge made a long trip north to Cumbria to compete at the Cumbrian Open Championships.

It was a long day for all our competitors as was the committed journey travelling 6 hours from Norfolk to Cumbria. Neither the less, our TKF members managed to come away with 3 bronze medals between them respectively. James Leveridge was the first to medal after several solid rounds of kata, managing to cement his place in the semi-final only to just lose out to the eventual winner which meant the bronze medal was his to claim. Cameron and Rohan unfortunately lost out in the earlier rounds but came away with some valuable lessons learnt.

Further down the line, Cody and Henry fought their individual fights in their respective categories well against even experienced Scottish National representatives but were unable to progress to the medal rounds. This didn’t stop the kumite pair from helping their teams fight their way to well-earned bronze medals. You can see the full results here;
