On Saturday 9th March, Sensei Jake Pointer successfully passed his 4th Dan!! Jake attended the annual JKS Course with Kagawa Shihan where the Head of the JKS holds a course and grading for 3rd dan and above. This course and grading only happens once a year in the UK.
After a gruelling session on the Friday and the Saturday, Jake was able to step up in front of Kagawa Shihan and performed a solid kata Gankaku followed by a choice of kata from Kagawa which was Junro Nidan. He then showed what he does best, dominating his kumite fights against his opponents with a couple of really good sweeps!
A massive congratulations to Jake for passing his 4th Dan, we are all very proud of you!!
